Our Inn is located in a 160 year old fully renovated farmhouse. Our rooms are well appointed and decorated with a casual and eclectic antique decor, all with private baths and many additional personal touches. We pay close attention to details and your needs, while respecting your desire for privacy. Our goal is to ensure you have a memorable and relaxing experience.

This is our second visit and it won’t be our last. The inn keepers work very hard to make you feel comfortable and well fed. As an inn and a pub it’s double the pleasure! Try their pizza, you won’t be disappointed. Food, service and comfy beds, love it there!

The rooms were clean, comfortable and aptly appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful, the kind of people you feel like you've known for a while. The Jolly Drayman offered a nice selection of wine and beer as well as wonderful pub decor. The food was amazing with unusual offerings excellently prepared. This was a perfect place to stay after some trail hiking. It is a unique bed and breakfast kind of place with a fabulous English pub and a wonderful restaurant. You will be so glad you went here, as it is an unexpected surprise and delight.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Briar Lea Inn. Dani was an enthusiastic and caring host who made sure all our needs were met. The Jolly Drayman is an authentic English pub with great atmosphere and delicious food. We hope to return.

Like staying with long-lost family! Wonderful hospitality, comfortable room, and great food(especially Enrico's special pasta!). On Sunday night we enjoyed really tasty Indian food, and on Monday we had a family-style dinner with the owners and a few other guests...a very special experience that one does not get in a larger, more commercial establishment..Highly recommended.

A spacious room that can easily accommodate  the needs of a couple or a group of 3. The room located on the 3rd floor has a King bed, a second futon bed, and a bath with shower.

A room that will surround you 
with beautiful florals and antiques. The room has a Queen bed, is located on the 2nd floor, and includes a bath with shower.

The Tavistock

Can be occupied as a Separate Room or a 
Two Room Suite w/the Clovelly. This 2nd floor room has a Queen bed, and a bath with shower.

The Chumleigh

A beautiful room for a romantic getaway.  This room on the 2nd floor has a King bed and an electric fireplace. The bathroom has a tub and shower.

This 2nd floor room has 2 twin beds and can be occupied as a Separate Room or a Two Room Suite w/the Tavistock. A great room for friends traveling together. Includes bath and shower.
